Oliveira triumphs at the wet Thai GP, widening the title race after Quartararo's poor showing.

At the Buriram track in Thailand, Factory KTM driver Miguel Oliveira demonstrated his wet-weather skills as he won his second MotoGP race of the year.

The 27-year-old Portuguese defeated Jack Miller of Ducati, who was attempting to win for the second time in a row following his heroics at the Twin Ring Motegi last weekend.

Fabio Quartararo, the current champion, had another disappointing day as the Yamaha rider placed 17th at the line.

His championship advantage has now been down to just two points as the Ducati rider as a result of this unfortunate outcome.

Francesco Bagnaia profited by placing third on the podium.

Aleix Espargaro of Aprilia had a poor performance; he placed 11th after serving a lengthy lap penalty after a collision.

With only 20 points separating them, the world title candidate closes the distance between him and Quartararo.
